What to expect & why you don't need to worry.

Before your session
we plan together. I learn about your dog’s personality, energy level, triggers, & comfort zones. I help you choose the best location & style.

I like to get an idea of your expectations & if you have any preconceived ideas in mind for photos. I have the session ideas but I always like to know your thoughts & hopes to get everything you dream about getting for your session.

Arrival

Whether its in the studio or outdoors, your dog gets time to explore first. We walk the area or they can sniff around my studio (as long as they are not markers). No camera in their face immediately.

During the session:

  • frequent breaks

  • play encouraged

  • no forced posing

  • movement is welcome

I work quickly & patiently, watching your dog’s body language & adjusting constantly.

If your dog can’t be off leash
that’s completely fine. Safety always comes first. Leashes & handlers can be removed in editing.

You do not need a trained dog.
You just need your dog.

At the conclusion of the session I will send you a couple of sneak peek photos & a maximum of 2 weeks is required for processing (although it’s typically much sooner depending on the season we are in). You will receive a link to a gallery to make your selections & we communicate once you are finished.

My aim is to preserve who they really
are & not just what they look like.

“As the proud owner of a dog training business focused on behaviour issues, I know the immense value provided by stunning photography, & have worked with many professional photographers over the six years that we have been in business. The haunting beauty of Tina Sawicki’s photography & her energy & dedication to capturing photographs that do justice to the dog & their relationship with their human are unmatched in my experience. Tina chooses fantastic shooting spots & works tirelessly, often going beyond the allotted time while adapting to dogs of all ages, breeds, & temperaments, to produce stunning photography that any individual, club, or business would be proud to share with their communities. The private shoot I just completed with Tina & my three senior shepherd females was delightful & fun, & we did not see the time go by. I will forever treasure the magnificent images that resulted from our wonderful time together. When it is time for another collection of images, I will seek out Tina again with no hesitation.”
